Has Anyone Tried The Pedipaws Pet Nail Trimmers? ?

If you have tried it, did it work well? Has it lasted? What did your dog think of it? What did you think of it? Any tips, stories, and information would be appreciated.

it has been great for us! we have two dogs that you literally have to sit on to clip their nails and they will now lie still for it.
we got a knock off one from the store to check it out and honestly wouldnt recommend it for a number of reasons other than it’s functionality because really it is a pretty good product as far as functionality goes.
1) it’s a glorified battery operated dremmel, with a larger sanding drum, problem is that because it is a larger drum you have to special order the bands.
2) the protective cover over the drum really has no function other than catching the dust, due to breed and the nails of the animal itself it really can’t quarantee that you cant get to the quick like the infomercial says. in fact due to the shape of the opening it kinda gets in the way and makes it a bit harder or forces you to adopt an uncomfortable position.
3) it’s an emery impregnated sanding disk (sandpaper) and as such produces alot of friction and heat so you only use it on each nail for 3-5 seconds and alternate nails.
4) with all that in mind there are easier, better, more convienient alternatives…one of the battery operated dremmel tools…the bands are the same have varying size sanding drums as well as different heads that will do the same thing and the speed is variable (bit more expensive though) or several retailers like walmart have smaller humal manicure ones now in their health and beausy aisles that are cheaper or compareable, have several different heads that would work better, are smaller and less imposing (the pedipaws uses 2 c batteries, the human manicure ones 2 AA batteries) such as this one at walmart (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d… )
so really I think the pedipaws is a bit redundant, I mean it does what it says, works better without the protective shield but if you’re gonna use it every 2 weeks to file the nails the bands are gonna wear out fairly quick (it comes with 3 extra) and then you have to mail order replacements as opposed to just running to the store
well i have the pidicure thing and it works pretty well if your dog isn’t scared of it the noise scares my dog and she wont let me near her with that thing.
From everything I have read (reviews) these are a big waste of money. They are too cheaply made to be of any real value. Spend a little more and get one that will last.
Dont get it. It too loud and my dog wont go near it.
