What blade is a summer cut for a dig? I heard it was a blade #7 and some say blade #4.
What are the best clippers to shave down a Chow or any dog that is double d coated?

you can use a 4f , 5f ,7f, or even a9 depends on what will go through it. if there are mats, remember you have to go UNDER the mats, not throught them. so start out with the longest blade, like the 4f and if you have trouble getting through, then switch to a 5 then a 7 and so on. and take care with sun exposure. because dogs don’t tan like people. so the more hair you can leave on the dog the better. their hair is their protection from sun and it also helps regulate their body temp. so don’t get too crazy on the shaving. an andis 2 speed electric clipper from Pet Edge.com is the nicest and most practical thet i’ve used.
Go to a certified groomer get it done professionally.
I would use a no. 7 blade before the bath, and then after bathing and drying, try using a 7F.
