So you're thinking about saving some money and grooming your dog at home. Before you purchase a pet trimmer, or dog clipper, here are a few things you should consider.
- How big or small is your pet?
- Is the hair/fur/coat all ready matted?
- How well behaved is your dog? Will he/she hold still while you run a clipper near him?
- How much are you willing to spend on a trimmer or clipper?
A dog clipper or pet trimmer can be powered by electricity or batteries. They come in tiny midget sizes that are great for small dogs...and large units that have the power to shave down a Newfoundland in 20 minutes.
In considering a pet trimmer to use at home you will need to examine the options available.
